Fundamental Truths

The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith, truth, and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us. No claim is made that it contains all biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.

The Father is the source of all creation, and Jesus Christ is the dynamic One through whom creation came into existence. “All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! (cf. Jude 24–25).
Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning, and the end and who is still come. Jesus backed up all his claims through countless miracles of healing and for those call on Him that divine healing still is available today” (Revelation 1:8).

The Bible is revelation from God, written by men as God inspired the written word, and understood by the reader through the Holy Spirit’s ministry of illumination.”

The One True God

The one true God has revealed himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind

The one true God has revealed himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. In Jesus Christ the invisible has become visible. From all eternity Jesus, in his very nature, has been the image of God. He existed before anything else and through him God created everything as evidenced in Colossians 1:16-17, “for through him God created everything…he made the things we can see and things we can’t see…he existed before anything else.” To have eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, as in John 17:3, “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ.

Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. A believer in Christ has eternal security because it is confirmed throughout scripture.

Salvation is a gift, not based on your works or how good you think you are. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not works, lest anyone should boast” (Eph 2:8-9). It is by grace you have been saved and that the means of this salvation is through faith. (cf. Rom. 3:22, 25; Gal. 2:16; 1 Peter 1:5). God saved you by his grace when you believed. When God gave us the Holy Spirit within, he committed himself to give all the further blessings of eternal life and a great reward in heaven with him.”
